Black 5 Departs Willesden Shed with 8F 48223 ~ original oil on canvas
by Ken Allsebrook

~~ Excellent condition, ready to hang ~~

Another superb scene from Ken, showing Black 5 45270 departing Willesden yard (where she was briefly allocated in 1963) A wonderfully atmospheric scene of an industry and way of life now gone. In the foreground the ash pits with shouldering clinker awaiting removal with the coaling tower in the background. In the background also is the big 8F 48223 awaiting servicing. 48223 was allocated to Kirkby-in-Ashfield (16C shed code) and I think is one of Ken's favorites, appearing in one of the other painting we have secured.

By the accomplished railway artist Ken Allsebrook, (there is one of his works on the BBC your paintings website) we have been fortunate to secure 5 paintings by the artist.

It is an oil on canvas, signed and dated '87 to the bottom right. Signed with Ken's address to the rear along with some information.
